Growing information
- Bright, filtered light; avoid harsh direct sun on young foliage.
- Warm, stable conditions; protect young plants from cold draughts and frost.
- Moderate to high humidity with gentle air movement; protect newly transferred plants from rapid drying.
- Airy, well-drained potting substrate with some moisture retention. Adjust particle size to the root system and container; avoid persistent saturation.
- If supplied in vitro, acclimatize gradually after removal from the culture vessel, initially limiting water loss and increasing ventilation as roots and new leaves become functional. Keep the substrate moist, not waterlogged; follow the batch-specific transfer instructions. Introduce a stake or climbing support as growth develops. Small juvenile leaves and limited fenestration are normal in young Monstera stock and are not, by themselves, defects.
